The Goring

The Goring

London, UK

This quintessentially British hotel provides attentive service and high quality dining in the heart of stylish Belgravia. The hotel has been owned by the Goring family since the early 1900s and has been awarded a Royal Warrant by the Queen. The Goring has 69 rooms, but its characterful decor and thoughtful individual touches create the atmosphere of a much smaller property. Vibrant tones and feature wallpaper combined with marble floors and silk panelled walls establish an eclectic yet elegant style in the public areas, while the bedrooms retain a classic English design. The Michelin-starred Dining Room restaurant offers superb fine dining using local ingredients while the bar and lounge serves a casual lunch menu and afternoon tea.

OUR OPINION:

The beautiful but quirky decor makes The Goring stand out and we love sitting outside in the heart of London yet surrounded by shrubs, trees and pretty fairy lights.

Rooms

Each room is unique in its decor but follows a classically English style with hints of contemporary vibrancy. Expect rich fabrics and feature wallpapers, antique furniture and subtle lighting. All rooms feature complimentary Wi-Fi and a large, marble bathroom, some with separate walk-in showers. Lights can be either dimmed or intensified by a touch-screen control panel on the wall, which also controls the air-conditioning. Splendid room types and above overlook The Goring’s private garden. Suites have their own dedicated footman to provide butler service.

Location

The Goring is centrally located in the heart of London in the prestigious Belgravia district. It's a ten minute walk from Buckingham Palace and Green Park, and about 20 minutes away on foot from Harrods to the west and Westminster and Big Ben to the east.

Food and drink

The Dining Room is The Goring’s Michelin-starred restaurant which serves delectable British cuisine made from the highest quality ingredients from across Britain, including those personally collected by the hotel’s own forager. The Bar & Lounge offers a more casual menu in a welcoming environment with warm tones, an open fireplace and comfortable seating. In summer and winter a themed pop-up bar can be found in the garden.

Facilities and activities

The Goring has a small fitness centre as well as an IT room.
