Fairmont Orchid

The island of Hawaiʻi, The USA

The Fairmont Orchid is a tropical oasis on the beautiful Kohala Coast, set within 129,500 square metres of oceanfront grounds that look out across the glittering ocean.

The resort offers 540 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, each with a private furnished lanai (balcony) offering views of the ocean or attractive gardens and waterfalls. They come equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi access, a television with built-in media hub and iPod adapter, a fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, telephones and a safe. The spacious marble bathrooms are equipped with separate shower and bathtub and a range of amenities.

Guests can choose from a variety of restaurants on the resort, beginning the day with a breakfast buffet at the Orchid Court before opting for a casual dining experience at Hale Kai Restaurant, sushi or steak at Norio's or fine dining whilst enjoying stunning sunset views at Brown's Beach House. Pre- or post-dinner drinks can be sipped at Kahakai Bar located on the beach, or at Luana Lounge which presents regular live music for an upbeat Hawaiian atmosphere.

During the day, guests can easily stay entertained at the resort's delightful swimming pool, its 'Spa Without Walls' which features eight private outdoor hales (huts) and six ocean-side hales in which guests can enjoy massages and other pampering treatments, tennis courts, fitness centre or championship level golf course. In addition, the property's proximity to a sandy cove means that guests can try snorkelling. While there is no lifeguard present, colour coded flags are put out each day for guests to gauge the weather conditions and the suitability of swimming in the sea.
