Chitabe Camp

Chitabe Camp is situated on a palm island, surrounded by open grassland.

There are eight luxurious tents, all recently refurbished and built on raised walkways and elevated wooden decks under a lush canopy of indigenous trees. Each tent has en suite facilities and an outdoor shower under the stars. In front of the tents there is a large deck with great views over the savanna in front of the camp. The bar and lounge area has steps leading down to a small boma around a fire.

All main areas, including the dining room, are under thatched roofing and raised up on decks to afford good views. Aside from the bar, another boardwalk takes you to the curio shop, a small open library with a couple of comfy chairs and a loo with a view — don't forget to pull the rope across the path, as there are no doors!

There's a small pool with squashy sun loungers and big umbrellas, perfect for the heat of the day. The camp is located in a predominantly dry land area with rich game densities.
