Situated within an isolated wilderness beside a lagoon overlooking Maboa Island, 4 Rivers' superb, tented camp offers you the opportunity to enter an unexplored part of the Kwara Private Reserve.
The landscape of Maboa Island has built up over centuries to stand above the waters of the Okavango Delta, making it ideal for spotting wildlife on walking safaris in season.
Set in the western sector of the Kwara Concession, one of the largest in the Delta at 175,000 hectares, 4 Rivers offers a genuine sense of immersion in Botswana’s wilderness. With consistent year-round water, you can enjoy both land and water-based safaris through a mix of game drives, bush walks, and mokoro trips, giving a fantastic cross-section of what the Delta has to offer. Wildlife encounters often feel unhurried and authentic, with knowledgeable guides who take time to interpret the smaller details of the bush as well as the headline sightings. It’s an ideal setting for guests who value a deeper understanding of the ecosystems they’re exploring, rather than purely ticking off species.
