Planet Baobab has eight en suite Bakalanga mud huts which have been inspired by the traditional homes of Botswana. All of these huts are different in style and design and have their own private veranda decorated with local artwork.

In addition there are seven baobab huts, also traditionally styled, which share their ablution block with the secluded camp site. During the day relax in the plunge pool or enjoy a meal from the à la carte menu which serves dishes from all over Africa.

The incredible landscape of the Makgadikgadi Pans changes dramatically throughout the year. After the summer rains have finished in December the area comes to life with birdlife, lush vegetation and vast expanses of water. You can watch thousands of zebra migrating back into the Pans, offering an incredible opportunity for some wonderful photographs.

In the following months the zebra leave and the landscape transforms into an empty lunar landscape stretching to the horizon. Experience a journey into Botswana's history by visiting a local archaeological site and viewing the hand made stone tools. For the adventurous, enjoy the thrill of quad biking across salts pans or spend the night sleeping out under the stars.
