The Thorntree Country House is a relaxing property of typical local Klein Karoo architecture in a tranquil location 12 kilometers from Oudtshoorn. The house dates from the late 19th century and has been thoughtfully renovated, keeping its original charm while offering spacious rooms.

Each room is simply furnished and en suite with television and air-conditioning, and there are two pools with lovely views for keeping cool in the desert heat. The guesthouse has a superb local restaurant serving delicious breakfasts and dinners and a pleasant bar for unwinding with a glass of wine.
