Birkenhead House

Birkenhead House is a beautiful haven up on the cliffs overlooking Walker Bay. Only a few minutes' walk to the nearby beaches below the rim-flow pool, the Birkenhead provides absolute luxury and incredible views across the bay. There are 11 spacious and individually appointed en suite rooms that combine modern and antique furnishings and decor. The house is situated in an upper-class residential area on the outskirts of Hermanus and its sandy walls confine superb interiors. There's a restaurant on site, but if you choose to dine elsewhere it's just a short drive to the main town and its restaurants.

During the whale watching season (June to October), you can often see migratory southern right whales close to shore from your room, and at any time you can look out for seals, dolphins, seabirds and Bryde's whales offshore.
