Shinta Mani Shack

Shinta Mani Shack

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Shinta Mani Shack has a charming, courtyard-style layout, with each of its rooms boasting first floor balcony views or direct access to the large swimming pool and tropical gardens.

The property has been stylishly designed by hotel architect-designer Bill Bensley, with exclusively-created contemporary artwork and vintage sculptures adding to the resort's sophisticated atmosphere.

All day dining is offered at Bai Tong, which has both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and guests may also enjoy the facilities of the resort's sister property, Shinta Mani Club, which stands opposite, including the spa, Kroya Restaurant and Bensley’s Bar.

The Shinta Mani Shack is a firm Audley favourite, and gets consistently strong feedback from our clients. It ticks all the boxes for the perfect stay in Siem Reap — a great location, fantastic service, beautifully designed rooms and an oasis to come back to after a day of touring.

There are two main room types, both of which are similar in terms of layout and style, offering 32 or 38 square metres of living space. Poolview rooms are located on the first floor, offering balcony views over the swimming pool and gardens, while Poolside Garden rooms are situated on the ground floor within a few steps of the swimming pool and gardens, offering a private terrace. Stylishly decorated custom-designed beds, a mirrored feature wall and modern artwork, the rooms offer either a king size bed or twin beds, along with TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms.

There's also a 60 square metre Junior Suite available on the first floor, boasting balcony views over the swimming pool and gardens, a king size bed and a separate living area.

The resort is located in the French Quarter between The Royal Gardens and the Old Market Area, just 15 minutes from Angkor Wat. Local restaurants are only a short walk from the hotel. Although the property is centrally located, it still offers peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle — an oasis to return to after a busy day of exploring.

Food and drink

A stay here is on a bed and breakfast basis, but the Bai Tong Restaurant offers all-day dining. Guests may choose from international comfort food and colourful Khmer street food, which can be enjoyed either indoors or outside. There's also Bensley's Bar, where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink in a modern but relaxed setting.

Facilities and activities

Guests can make use of the spa located opposite the property at Shinta Mani Club, which offers a number of relaxing treatments. There's also an outdoor swimming pool, and the resort offers a number of organised activities for guests to take part in, including cooking classes and local excursions.

Environmental and social responsibility

The resort strongly supports responsible tourism through its Shinta Mani Foundation — a stay here assists the on site hospitality training school for less fortunate and disadvantaged children in the local community, with a percentage of the daily room rate donated toward the foundation's activities. Guests can visit The Development Centre or speak to staff about how they can make a difference.
