West Coast Wilderness Lodge

The Sunshine Coast & Desolation Sound, Canada

West Coast Wilderness Lodge is an undiscovered jewel on the west coast of Canada. Located on the northern tip of the Sunshine Coast, northwest of Vancouver, the lodge is tucked amid cedars and firs, with spectacular views of the Pacific coast.

There’s a range of rooms and suites. Each of the suites features a king size bed with down duvets, a window seating area and a private balcony overlooking either the forest or the ocean. Dining at Inlets Restaurant is a truly unique experience, it offers exceptional views and specialises in fresh West Coast cuisine, using local and organic ingredients.

Close by is the coastal village of Egmont, a small village dating back to early European settlement but with an older First Nations history. Princess Louisa Inlet and the Skookumchuck Rapids are also accessible from the lodge by sea-plane or boat. Kayaking tours, wildlife tours and marine excursions, such as the Princess Louisa Inlet tour are available to take you to true wilderness locations.

OUR OPINION:

This is an easily reached wilderness lodge in a fabulous setting on the water. While the lodge attracts weddings and events, its impressive location and views, and the range of tours, make it a worthwhile stop.
