International outbound flight , Calgary , Canmore
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Calgary. Upon arrival in Calgary, board a coach for a one and a half hour transfer to the small mountain town of Canmore near Banff National Park. The rest of the day is yours to relax after your journey.

Your trip begins with a truly Canadian experience today, as you step into the skates of an ice hockey player for a guided tour of the Canmore Eagles stadium, learning about the rich history and fascinating superstitions of ice hockey. You’ll have the opportunity to watch the players practice, as well as getting kitted up and trying to score some goals on the ice, allowing for some fun photo opportunities. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a helicopter tour over the Bow Valley for sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains. During the flight you’ll see hanging glaciers, icefalls and towering white mountain peaks.
-
Join a four-hour guided snowmobile tour around Yoho National Park, near Golden, which is just a short transfer from Canmore. After you’ve had an introduction to the machines, you’ll take to the mountain trails, exploring the incredible scenery that surrounds you. Stops will be made for hot drinks and snacks, and during these your guide will tell you all about the area. The ride will continue, ascending eventually to reach a thrilling elevation of 7,000 feet, where you will stop and savour a mountainside barbecue lunch whilst overlooking the wintry landscape below.
-
Travel by coach to Jasper along the incredible Icefields Parkway, known as one of Canada’s most scenic drives. The route takes you past a seemingly never-ending parade of magnificent mountain peaks that culminate at the Sunwapta Pass and the Athabasca Icefield. You’ll reach Jasper late this afternoon and can spend the rest of your day relaxing in this small mountain town.
-
Set off on an immersive dog-sledding experience exploring the undisturbed wilderness and peaceful landscapes of Valemount in British Columbia, situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The drive to the kennels takes just over an hour from Jasper, and provides views of the Rockies’ highest peak, Mount Robson. Whether you choose to steer or sit on the sled, you’ll be treated to fresh mountain air and a wintry landscape with views of snow-covered pine trees that line the trail. The dogs are in their element as they whisk you through the wintry silence. At lunch time your guides will warm you up by cooking a hearty lunch over a campfire, and handing out hot apple cider.
-
Spend today navigating Jasper’s craggy wintry landscapes and seek out the wildlife that roams spectacular Jasper National Park. You’ll start by learning how to safely climb a frozen waterfall, using ice axes and crampons. Your expert guide will take you to a nearby climbing spot, chosen based on the weather conditions and their local knowledge. You’ll start by abseiling down the side of a canyon before safely reaching the floor. Your guide will then lead you through the canyon's icy rippled walls to a suitable frozen waterfall for you to climb with their knowledge and direction. In the afternoon you’ll be taken to a lesser-known wildlife viewing spot for an opportunity to spot moose, caribou, red fox and even wolves.
-
Travel to Lake Louise by coach this morning, again traversing the glorious mountain scenery of Icefields Parkway. The rest of the day can be spent indulging in afternoon tea, going for a sleigh ride, ice skating or admiring the ice castle; lovely ways to enjoy the picture-perfect surroundings of a wintry Lake Louise.
