Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico

Spirito Santo Palazzo Storico

Rovinj, Croatia

A thoughtfully converted 1920s building once belonging to a noble Italian family, Spirit Santo Palazzo Storico is a small but charming base from which to explore the cobbled streets of Rovinj’s historic old town. Tucked away on a peaceful street away from the main tourist hub, it makes the most of its heritage with exposed stone walls, wrought iron balconies, and wooden beam ceilings throughout. This design theme continues in the seven individually styled rooms, all with custom furnishings and amenities such as flat-screen TVs, minibars, Wi-Fi access, safes, and modern bathrooms with glass showers, marble floors, and brass faucets.

Elsewhere, the ground floor lounge area opens onto a small atrium that makes an ideal spot for relaxing with a coffee and a book. There’s also an atmospheric wine bar and lounge serving light evening meals, local delicacies, snacks, and an impressive selection of spirits, cocktails, and Croatian, Slovenian and Italian wines. While facilities are limited due to the building’s historic nature, the friendly staff will be happy to offer advice on Rovinj’s best attractions.

OUR OPINION:

We love this characterful and intimate boutique hotel for its friendly service and comfortable rooms. The tranquil setting just outside Rovinj’s old town means you’re away from the main tourist hub.
