We're currently exploring Croatia, so you can experience it with us.

Designed by Croatian architect Mladen Frka in 1961 to blend into the landscape, this intimate cliffside retreat makes the most of its setting overlooking Lokrum Island and the Adriatic Sea. Inside, the white marble walls, light hues and dark wicker furniture set the tone for the minimal decor theme that follows in 56 light-flooded rooms, all of which have wood detailing, modern artworks, upscale soft furnishings, and full-length sliding doors opening onto private balconies. There’s also a large indoor-outdoor pool with seating, a serene spa, a well-equipped gym, a private rocky beach, and a gourmet restaurant. You’ll also find several relaxed bars, lounges, and sea view terraces for dramatic views across Dubrovnik’s Old Town, especially at sunset.

The hotel has 56 spacious rooms, all of which have private balconies and lots of floor-to-ceiling glass to allow for plenty of natural light. In addition to sophisticated nautical decor, there’s air conditioning, minibar, flat screen TV, bath products, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Premium rooms have the added luxury of large private terraces with Jacuzzis, but no sea views. Suites offer more living space, upgraded amenities, and preferred locations within the building.

You’ll be a 20 minute walk from Dubrovnik’s Old Town for a myriad of cultural attractions, including The Rector's Palace, the Sponza Palace, and the Franciscan Monastery. Lokrum Island’s botanic gardens, fortress, and lake are a boat ride away. Several art museums and craft shops are located down the road from the hotel.

Food and Drink

Restaurant Pjerin offers views of the Old Town and Lokrum Island from its outdoor terrace. Head here in the morning to enjoy local delicacies and return in the evening to sample a mix of gourmet Dalmatian and Mediterranean cuisine paired with Croatian and global wines from the cellar. The hotel also has an alfresco bar for light lunches and a prosciutto and wine bar on the rooftop for daytime drinks and sundowners.

Facilities and Activities

Open year-round, the indoor-outdoor pool features sliding glass French doors leading onto an Adriatic-facing terrace lined with loungers and umbrellas. The Villa Spa has Turkish and Finnish saunas, a well-equipped gym with weights and cardio machines, and private rooms for a wealth of massages, facials and treatments using organic Sodashi products. The hotel also has its own private beach.

All floors in the hotel are accessible via an elevator from the main entrance.

Our opinion

Ticking the boxes for a chic but relaxed stay, Villa Dubrovnik is one of Croatia’s most luxurious hotels. We love the views of the Old Town, the Adriatic Sea, and the forested Lokrum Island.
