The Dalmatian Coast is a ribbon of more than 1,000 karst islands strung out along a mountainous shore, bounded by the jewel-like waters of the Adriatic. Stretching from the island of Rab in the north to Dubrovnik in the south, its pebble beaches and coves shelve into transparent blue-green waters. Its towns and cities reflect the many empires that have marched through the region — a city built around a Roman emperor’s palace, Venetian settlements and vast medieval walls built to repel the Turks.

Our specialists have visited the main sights and the lesser-known ones, and they’ll plan your trip to the Dalmatian Coast individually to match your preferences. They’ll guide you, whether you want to explore Split’s ancient Roman palace, the walled city of Dubrovnik or the sleepy lanes of Šibenik.

You can hop between the islands of Hvar, Brač, Šolta and Korčula or explore the peaks and waterfalls of the Dinaric Alps, where you can hike, bike, or go rafting or rock climbing. It’s between here and the sea where Croatia’s most subtle attractions win your heart, from small towns of wandering cobbled lanes to olive groves and family-run vineyards, all accompanied by a gentler pace of life.
