Marmont Heritage Hotel

Marmont Heritage Hotel

Split, Croatia

Named after the 18th-century French general, Auguste Frédéric Louis Viesse de Marmont, who was instrumental in the growth of the Dalmatian coast, this sleek boutique hotel is one of Split’s most delightful options. Housed in a restored 4th century building tucked inside the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace, guests are met with a classic-meets-contemporary design theme that combines original exposed stone walls, dark wooden accents, glass doors, and minimalist decor.

The 21 beautifully appointed and comfortable guest rooms have cream and beige hues, parquet flooring, walnut furniture, and modern amenities. There’s also a ground floor restaurant for Mediterranean-style buffet breakfasts and traditional Dalmatian seafood dishes as well as a lovely outdoor terrace where you can relax with a drink while soaking up views of the Old Town’s red terracotta rooftops.

OUR OPINION:

Ideal for those who want to experience staying in the heart of Split’s Diocletian Palace, this beautifully designed boutique hotel charms with attentive staff and a creative mix of old architecture and modern detailing.
