Iberostar Ensenachos, Cayo Ensenachos, Cuba

The Iberostar Ensenachos is the only resort on the unspoiled islet of Cayo Ensenachos, a part of the beautiful Cayos de la Herradura archipelago.

Despite being a large all-inclusive resort with 500 rooms the Iberostar Ensenachos is well planned and laid out in a series of two storey hexagonal 'bungalows' each containing 10 rooms. The bungalows surround peaceful central courtyards, each with its own concierge service.

The resort is split into three distinct sections each with its own pool and beach access. The Park suites are spacious with excellent bathrooms, marble floors and a balcony or terrace. The spa is part of the Royal Spa section and the rooms include a massage, pedicure and manicure treatment; however the spa is available for use throughout the resort. This part of the hotel is for over 18s only.

The Grand Village section is completely separate with its own lovely beach, restaurant, pool and dedicated check in servicing one and two bedroom villas which have kitchenette, dining/living rooms and large terraces with jacuzzi. Here anyone over 14 is allowed.

The lush grounds absorb the resort well and the beaches are amongst the best in Cuba with clean powder white sand lapped by green-blue water. It very much operates on an all inclusive basis popular with package holiday tourists but for what it lacks in character and the odd slip in standard of service, when very busy, it makes up for in extensive facilities and a pristine location.

Please note the 'a la carte' restaurants in the hotel are restricted and often get booked up by those staying on 2 week 'package holidays' so we advise you to book your evening restaurants as soon as you can, on arrival. You need to be prepared to eat in the 'buffet' restaurants if the 'a la carte' options happen to be full. Generally the hotel allows you to eat 2-3 times out of a 1 week stay in the a la carte restaurants. Please note if you are staying in the Grand Village there is no bar in this section of the hotel.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS CURRENTLY CONSTRUCTION ON GOING AT THE BEACH BAR AND 'RANCON' RESTAURANT. DISRUPTION IS BEING KEPT TO A MINIMUM
