Stay at Michelangelo, Johannesburg & Pretoria
The Michelangelo is wonderfully comfortable and a great base where you can relax and explore Johannesburg.
The Michelangelo, Johannesburg & Pretoria, South Africa
The Michelangelo is one of Johannesburg's most stylish hotels and is found in Sandton Square, one of the city's most desirable locations. Situated by the Italianate piazza, it has direct access to the exclusive Sandton Square shopping centre with its huge variety of boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
Built to a Renaissance theme, the hotel's exterior design mirrors the Uffizi Gallery in Florence while, inside, a soaring atrium houses carp pools, fountains and balconied corridors, with ochre plastered walls, archways and marble columns. The hotel features the Piccolo Mondo restaurant, where an afternoon high tea is served daily overlooking the bustling Sandton Square.
Each of the elegant 242 en-suite rooms is extremely spacious and comfortable with earthy neutral tones, brown woods, and peach marble. There is a sauna and a huge circular indoor swimming pool with a domed skylight leading out to a small roof terrace, perfect for catching some sun and watching the busy city below.
