Rooms in the elegant Dutch-style villa are adorned with classical 19th century teak and jackwood furniture of Dutch and Sri Lankan origin. Time could be spent relaxing in the garden under the coconut palms, swimming in the villa's pool or strolling along the nearby beach. The restaurant serves both Western and Sri Lankan cuisine, and evening meals are served on the lawn under the stars.
Adding to its character, the coastal railway runs through the large garden with about 10 trains a day coming through.
