Killarney Mountain Lodge is a casual, comfortable resort on the north shore of Georgian Bay. Family owned and operated for 45 years, the lodge is well-known for its friendly ambience, a distinctive cuisine, and an exciting outdoor wilderness adventure programme. The red granite shores and white quartzite hills of the bay contrast with the sparkling interior lakes of Killarney Provincial Park, forming a perfect unspoiled wilderness.
The lodge offers a range of accommodation from cabins in the grounds to rooms in the main lodge. Dining here is a delight, with the emphasis placed on the freshest and most wholesome ingredients. At the resort you will also have the use of an outdoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, tennis courts and a marina offering a wide range of water-based activities including sailing, fishing, and sea-kayaking.
While the lodge has a simple design, it offers warm hospitality and a wonderful lakeside location ensuring that, despite the resort nature of the lodge, you feel somewhat lost in nature.

Rooms
The accommodation options at the lodge begin with lodge rooms and move up through executive suites to cabins to waterfront cabins. Each Covered Portage room is decorated in a modern lodge style, with dark wood furnishings and floors but fresh colours and furniture, while cabins are a little more rustic and simple. The waterfront cabins are newer and have a range of layouts with either two or three bedrooms.
All options have outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air and water views. Please note that there is no Wi-Fi in the Pine Lodge rooms, and no air conditioning in the cabins.
Location
Killarney Mountain Lodge is tucked into the forest on the waterfront just on the outskirts of the town of Killarney. The lodge is just a ten-minute drive from the bottom corner of Killarney Provincial Park, full of lakes, craggy rocks and forests making it an outdoor enthusiast’s playground. The park is about four hours north of Toronto on the shores of Georgian Bay.
Food and drink
There are plenty of dining options at the resort with the emphasis placed on fresh, local, and organic ingredients. An alternative to the dining room is the popular waterside barbecue sitting atop a pink granite outcrop overlooking Killarney Channel. There's also The Ranch House in a large log and stone building with floor-to-ceiling windows serving steak, and The Carousel Lounge and Curds n’ Whey for something simpler.
Facilities and activities
Enjoy a quiet reading space in The Great Room, make use of the fitness centre and sauna, test your competitive side in the games room, or sunbathe by the outdoor heated swimming pool. For something more active, head to the tennis courts or marina offering a wide range of water-based activities including sailing, fishing, and sea-kayaking. There are also several hiking trails nearby. Further activities can be arranged from the lodge, and live music is performed each night in summer.
