Fairmont Nile City
Fairmont Nile City, Cairo, Egypt
The Fairmont Nile City boasts a great location on the Corniche, a short distance away from the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities and other downtown attractions. Built in a towering V-shape, adjacent to business premises, a cinema and a small shopping precinct, the structure and everything inside it is strikingly modern.
Most of the rooms have Nile views and all of the facilities that you would expect from a brand new five star establishment, with flat screen televisions, large mirrors and baths in all of the en suite bathrooms. The style and decor is achingly contemporary, with brushed dark wood panelling and furnishings in the King Rooms. These interconnect with Queen Rooms, which offer the same facilities and style but with soothing peach colouring, creating a softer aesthetic.
The Fairmont offers everything you'd want from a city hotel, with a good range of dining options and a spa on the way. The clean, contemporary sheen indicates that it caters equally for the business and leisure markets, but the undoubted highlight, unique amongst Cairo hotels, will be the rooftop swimming pool towering high above the cityscape and affording breathtaking views. There will also be a children's pool, a restaurant serving lunch and snacks, and a "Sky Bar," with DJs playing languid sets as you watch the sun setting from this high vantage point while sipping a drink.
