On the beach - 8 days

Six Senses Zighy Bay

Set on a broad sweeping bay where dry and dusty mountains contrast dramatically with shimmering blue sea, Six Senses Zighy Bay is a remote yet urbane retreat built in traditional Omani village style.

The hotel sits on a secluded beach accessed by speedboat, 4x4 or, if you are feeling particularly adventurous, you can paraglide from the mountains above. Once here you can simply sit back and relax in the utter serenity of the setting, take advantage of the superb spa with its ancient holistic treatments, hike, bike or climb in the mountains, snorkel in the clear waters or learn about Middle Eastern cuisine on a cookery course. Built using traditional materials and design with natural stone and warm woods throughout, this unobtrusive resort is earthy yet chic, with contemporary decor and superb attention to detail. Private butler service ensures you will be well looked after throughout your stay and there is a variety of restaurants to choose from, all serving exquisite food. Honeymooners are made to feel extra special in secluded villas that add an additional touch of privacy.

The 82 lovingly-designed villas are located throughout the grounds, each with its own private pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and generous living and outdoor space.

Before the beach - 4 days

Dubai

Venture into the desert for a dramatic off-road adventure. Pass through traditional villages on the way to the 80-million-year-old Fossil Rock and the restored fort of the 16th-century Hatta Heritage Village. Return to the city for dinner on board a traditional wooden dhow and sip fragrant Arabic coffee as you admire the dramatic contrasts of this thriving city; the luxury yachts, Sheikh Maktoum’s home and the spectacular modern architecture.

You will stay at The Park Hyatt Dubai resort hotel. The rooms each have a balcony or terrace overlooking the marina and Dubai Creek and there is a secluded spa set in a quiet courtyard.

Dubai’s hotels are renowned and include some of the most lavish properties in the world, either on the beach, around Dubai Creek, or in the splendid isolation of the desert.
