Located deep in Peru’s Tambopata Amazon Reserve, this lodge is situated by Sandoval Lake (the only lodge in the Tambopata Reserve to be located on the banks of a protected oxbow lake) which is reputed to be one of the most wildlife-rich lakes in the reserve.
The lodge has 25 double rooms with private bathrooms, a dining area and communal areas with hammocks. All rooms are protected with mosquito screens over window openings and individual mosquito nets over each bed.
The lodge is owned by a non-profit making conservation group and five families of indigenous Brazil nut collectors.
