With friendly service and an enviable location in downtown Barcelona, the Gallery Hotel provides a comfortable base for exploring the city. Its contemporary design and rooftop pool add to its appeal.
The H10 Montcada is situated in central Barcelona, directly across from the cathedral and just steps away from the Gothic Quarter.
Inside, a vintage-styled lobby featuring old advertising posters and large-scale maps recalls the city’s history, and an eclectic mix of leather couches and comfortable chairs gives the entire space a retro feel. Although the decor in the public areas evokes the past, the rooms are comfortably modern, decorated in a minimalist style with a palette of fresh whites and deep browns. Rooms have air conditioning and espresso machines as standard, as well as free Wi-Fi.
The highlight of a stay at the H10 Montcada is the rooftop terrace and bar, which wraps around the building to give panoramic views of the cathedral and sea. There is also a small Jacuzzi and cocktail bar here. Downstairs, the Travelers Bar serves premium cocktails and lighter fare through the afternoon and evening. A buffet breakfast is served in the light and airy wood-panelled Library Restaurant, which is brightened with fresh-cut seasonal flowers.

Rooms at the hotel are simple but very comfortable and are decorated in a fresh, minimalist style with predominantly white finishes accented by brown leather and warm woods. Each room includes an espresso machine, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, with en-suite bathrooms that feature either a shower or a bath as well as a bathrobe and slippers.
The hotel is in a prime location in the heart of Barcelona, directly facing the cathedral and just steps from the labyrinthine Gothic Quarter. La Rambla can be reached in a few minutes’ walk while the waterfront of La Barceloneta is around 25 minutes away on foot.
Food and drink
Breakfast is served in the Library Restaurant which is decorated in the same vintage style as the rest of the hotel and has tables decorated with fresh flowers. In the afternoon and evening the Travelers Bar in the lobby serves snacks and lighter meals as well as premium cocktails but the highlight of the hotel is the rooftop bar.
While the rooms at the H10 Montcada are a little on the small side, we find that the location and attention to detail more than make up for this.
