Cabo de Hornos

The most imposing hotel in Punta Arenas, the Cabo de Hornos towers over the main square of Punta Arenas. As a member of a small Chilean chain, this hotel offers fabulous views across the Magellan Straits to Tierra del Fuego from its eight floors. All 100 bedrooms are fully equipped with telephone, cable television, minibar and safe and the hotel has internet facilities to enable you to send an email home from the most southerly city in Chile.

The large restaurant offers an extensive menu of delicious international platters with the expected focus upon fresh seafood, and there is also a cosy bar in which to warm yourself with a pisco before or after your meal. Service at the hotel isn't great but location wise, it's an excellent choice in Punta Arenas.
