Rra Dinare is a traditional, unpretentious camp which overlooks the Gomoti River floodplains on the southeastern side of the Okavango Delta.
Tents are positioned to take in these spectacular views, while common areas provide additional comfortable space for wildlife viewing or relaxing.
All activities are hosted by the camp’s renowned guide and tracker teams who will take you out on wildlife drives, nature walks, and, when water levels permit, mokoro rides.
An authentic bush camp with excellent guiding and a classic safari feel, which sets it apart from many more polished Delta lodges. Rra Dinare sits in the private Dinare Concession, covering 27,000 hectares and sharing only with its sister camp, Mma Dinare. It overlooks the Gomoti floodplains and offers a steady stream of wildlife throughout the day.

Rooms
The camp's spacious tents are linked by a raised wooden walkway. The tents are well equipped with large, comfortable beds, a ceiling fan, and an open-air en suite bathroom with an outdoor shower. One tent is a family room, with two inter-leading bedrooms. At the front of the tent is a shaded deck area with comfortable armchairs and views of the floodplain.
Location
The combination of wetlands and mopane woodlands, a favourite habitat of the leopard, brings an abundance of wildlife to the concession year-round. This area receives the annual floodwaters later than most any other part of the Delta, which forces wildlife to congregate around watering holes for longer during the dry season.
Food and drink
Your day begins and ends around the communal firepit, where coffee and snacks are served before your morning activity and where pre-dinner drinks are enjoyed when you arrive back at camp at the conclusion of your afternoon adventures. There are options to dine indoors or out.
Facilities and activities
The main area of the camp is a large open space with a thatched roof and extended decking where you'll find a fire pit and seating area. A separate deck has a small swimming pool overlooking the lagoon.
Vehicle-based safaris are the focus here, and you are likely to see a wide variety of wildlife along the banks of the Gomoti River. The floodplains are host to some excellent predator sightings, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The wetlands and mopane forest are home to a plethora of aquatic and forest-dwelling birdlife such as storks, ibis, sunbirds, and raptors.
