The property is within easy walking distance of Halifax's major attractions, including the historic harbourfront, the Citadel and the main downtown shopping precinct. The 203 guest rooms and suites are elegantly decorated with finely appointed mahogany furnishings and include all the modern conveniences, such as a minibar, coffee maker and in house movie channels.

The hotel prides itself on excellent service while the restaurant is well known locally for its high standards and excellent cuisine. On site there is a wonderful fitness centre with a swimming pool, or if relaxation is more of a priority, there is the peaceful garden patio for a quiet drink or read of the newspaper. Parking is available at the hotel for a small surcharge.
