Visit East London, South Africa
East London is probably the airport you will fly to or from to start or end your trip along the Wild Coast.
The town itself used to be a very prosperous port, although hard times have meant a change of direction towards tourism, attracting South Africans to its grand sweep of beach backed by steep sand dunes.
There is a very laidback vibe, thanks to the large numbers of surfers and beach-lovers drawn by the excellent combination of sand and surf on offer.
