As someone who loves hiking, Banff, at the heart of the Rockies, is somewhere I return to again and again. The town itself has so much charm and around every corner you'll catch an ever-changing glimpse of a dramatic, snow-capped peak, which is one of Banff's many draws. The national park is laced with hiking trails which lead deep into the wilderness, towering mountains, massive glaciers and multi-hues lakes abound, and the wildlife is not only impressive but disarmingly easy to spot at times. Don't miss the view from the top of Tunnel Mountain, or the food at Tooloulou's.
Having lived overseas for more than half my life I developed a love of travel from a very young age. I spent my childhood in Kenya and South Africa and was lucky enough to go on many safaris which sparked my interest in wildlife and photography. After my time in Africa, I moved to Australia before returning to England to finish my studies.
I went on to study French, Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Exeter where I was lucky enough to spend my year abroad writing for a travel company in Barcelona. Besides my passion for languages, I fell in love with Canada during a family trip and since graduating I've explored the country from coast to coast on a two-month hiking adventure. Wanting to share my knowledge of Canada, I joined Audley where my most recent trip saw me hiking glaciers and photographing grizzly bears. My general love of the outdoors led me to explore Norway where I experienced the northern lights and snow-shoed my way through the Nordic countryside.

I'll never forget when…
The Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Nova Scotia winds its way around a dramatic headland offering sweeping ocean views. It leads to a dramatic cliff-top overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Lawrence and offers good wildlife watching opportunities. Despite knowing this, I was astounded to come face to face with my first ever moose when I walked the trail. I've always loved wildlife and to see such a huge animal so close combined with the panoramic views is something I'll always remember.
