Visit Toronto, Canada
With over 2.5 million residents, Toronto is the largest city in Canada by population. Winter is one of the best seasons for visiting this multicultural city, thanks to the wide range of events, activities, skate parties, light festivals and festive markets that are on offer in the colder months.Warm up whilst you explore the city by popping into MoRoCo Chocolat, Sweet Jesus or SOMA, all of which are highly regarded for their sumptuous cups of hot chocolate.
If you're visiting in the Christmas period, you can get into a festive mood at the Toronto Christmas Market. Elsewhere, the shopping and nightlife is unsurpassed, and you'll find an eclectic range of dining options. Toronto also has theatres to rival London and New York if you'd like to catch a show.
No visit to Toronto is complete without a trip to the top of the CN Tower. At 553 m (1,815 ft), it's one of the world’s tallest buildings and offers excellent views over the city and Lake Ontario. There are some fantastic museums here too, including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario. We also recommend ice skating on Toronto’s skate trail, the Bentway, which connects seven neighbourhoods and has free skate parties every Friday night.
