Coming from a family passionate about travel, I have been lucky enough to visit many parts of the world. Although I have loved travel and adventure for as long as I can remember, a pivotal moment for me was hearing about my brother’s round-the-world backpacking trip. As soon as I finished my college studies, I set off on my first extensive trip around the world. It completely opened my eyes to the diverse cultures, cuisines and beautiful landscapes that were out there to explore.
Having completed university, I embarked on my second trip, touring extensively around India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. Sri Lanka stood out to me in multiple ways: the rose gold beaches, abundance of wildlife, intriguing heritage sights, incredible food and so much more.
I have since toured the length and breadth of Sri Lanka with Audley and my passion for this remarkable island continues to grow with every trip.
I'll never forget when…
Riding a scooter from Ella to Lipton’s Seat viewpoint in Haputhale gave me the chance to wind through tea estates, past factories, local villages and mountain mist. It was the first time I had seen the tea plantations curving around the hills and I was blown away by the changing landscape. Thousands of feet above sea level and hours later, we reached Lipton’s Seat and the panoramic view of the plantations below. What better way to enjoy one of the most renowned views in Sri Lanka than with a refreshing cup of black tea from the surrounding estate?
