Manzanillo is a small charming laid-back village, much quieter than its neighbour, Puerto Viejo, located further up the coast.
There are a couple of places to eat and relax, but really it is a very peaceful place. There is a large shelf of coral reef just offshore that teems with marine life and offers some good snorkelling.
