Sepupa, Botswana

Located on the eastern side of the Okavango Pan Handle this area is great for those on self-drive itineraries with easy access from Namibia's Caprivi Strip along tar roads.

Birdlife of Sepupa

The focus here is on bird life, flora and fauna rather than big game viewing however small herds of lechwe may be seen grazing along the banks as well as hippos and crocs in and around the water. Some of the birds commonly sighted in this area include the white-backed night heron, the acrobatic African skimmers and the red winged pratincoles.

Between Shakawe and Sepupa there are a number of small camps offering a variety of water-based activities including Mokoro trips.
