Alba, Canada Specialist

My parents have always loved to travel and I was lucky to visit some far-flung destinations while growing up. My desire to explore the world has kept growing ever since, and as a result, I have been working in the travel industry for the last decade.

My passion has taken me to the most wonderful locations: from diving the 'Wall of Sharks' in French Polynesia to hiking in Patagonia. As a wildlife and sports enthusiast, Canada had been on my list of destinations to visit for a long time when I first decided to venture there. With its stunning landscape and incredible biodiversity, it was love at first sight.

Working for Audley has given me the chance to travel extensively in this remarkable country, from the Eastern cities to the wonderful Rockies and the awe-inspiring Vancouver Island.

Montréal, Canada

I recommend visiting - Montréal

Montreal is a quirky, upbeat metropolis. It’s the second largest French speaking city in the world and its food and arts scene are not to be missed.

Basilique Notre-Dame is without a doubt my favourite landmark. Its interior is a true masterpiece of Gothic architecture, filled with wood carvings and stained glass. Parc du Mont Royal is perfect for a picnic, cycling or horseback riding. Its views across the city are unbeatable.

Great Bear Lodge

I recommend staying at - Great Bear Lodge

Great Bear Lodge is nestled in a prime wildlife viewing location, at the mouth of an unspoilt salmon river. Its knowledgeable guides and passionate naturalists will make sure you have the most amazing experience, while learning so much about bears, their behaviour and habitat.

From interpretive walks to boat excursions, a stay here is a nature lover’s dream.

I'll never forget when…

I’m fascinated by whales and knew British Columbia’s picture perfect capital was one of the best places to get to see them. I finally had the chance to go whale watching in Victoria — and the experience was one of the best I’ve ever had. The surroundings were spectacular, the sea was calm and there were large groups of humpbacks just metres away; one of them playfully approached us and dove under our boat. We also saw sealions, seals and different pods of orca too.
