I grew up with a love of travel, always looking for new places to explore and interesting activities to do while there. Growing up I was lucky to travel to many parts of the world, however, I always had a fascination with North America. After graduating from Bristol University, I was able to embark on the trip of a lifetime, three months camping around the US and Canada. Taking things back to basics I fell completely in love with the natural beauty of Canada and the extensive array of landscapes to traverse. On a recent research trip I visited both the west and east coasts of Canada, enjoying the eclectic mix of cities and parks and taking in some dramatic scenic drives on the way. In particular, trail riding along the Bow River and completing the hair-raising Edge Walk at the CN Tower were highlights of the visit.

I'll never forget when…
Driving the Sea to the Sky Highway from Horseshoe Bay to Whistler is one of my top highlights from my travels around Canada. It's a very simple thing but is undoubtedly the most scenic drive I've ever completed. Every time you round a corner you're treated to sweeping and seemingly endless views of sheer rock faces plunging into the sea, jagged peaks, monumental glaciers, glittering lakes, thundering waterfalls and lush rainforest. It's regarded as one of the most scenic drives in the world and it's worth planning in some time to stop and explore en route to really do it justice.
