After a year working in the hotel industry as part of a Business Studies degree, Ross decided to pursue a career in the travel industry. He subsequently joined a travel company after graduating and made his first trip to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but came back knowing he had only scratched the surface of this diverse country. This sparked his desire to explore North America further and he took several trips to the West Coast and Texas. Ross then joined Audley so he could share his passion for America as a county specialist.
Since joining Audley, Ross has been lucky enough to explore California and Arizona further with visits to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite and Sequoia National parks as well as a self-drive down the famous Highway 1 coastal route from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Particular highlights of these trips included biking over the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset and exploring the red rocks of Sedona in Arizona.
I'll never forget when…
I had visited the Grand Canyon before via helicopter on the West Rim so I didn't imagine I would be blown away by a hike there. How wrong I was as I started my descent into this natural wonder via the South Rim. The scenery was truly breath-taking and I ended up taking so many photos that just did not do the surroundings justice. As I walked back up the canyon and the sun started to set I knew this is something I would love to experience again one day.
